Curriculum Analysis of Biological Learning Media Module Development Based on Project Based Learning (PjBL)

Abstract: Biology Learning Media Course requires students to be able to produce biology learning media. In the previous recovery, students were less creative in producing media for Biology. So students are less able to create suitable media. During this time students do not have the right learning resources in exploring creativity. For this reason, the development of project-based learning-based modules is carried out to provide appropriate learning resources and increase student creativity. The purpose of this study wa… Show more

“…Students can try to do the practicum repeatedly until they understand the concept being tested. This is in line with the results of research by Susanti et al (2020) which states that the development of PjBL based module can increase creativity. Beside that the application of a PjBL model with a virtual lab can increase student creativity (Gunawan et al, 2017;Widiarini et al, 2021).…”

“…PjBL requires students to design and develop systems that can be used to investigate and solve real-world problems (Sababha et al, 2016). The existence of PjBl model is expected to increase student learning motivation, increase the ability and creativity of students to create projects (Susanti et al, 2020). In PjBL, the students explore, make judgments, interpret, and synthesize information in meaningful and creative ways (Rubrica, 2019).…”

“…This shows that the existence of Project Learning (PjBL)-based digital books can increase student activities, because there are projects that must be completed by students so that the learning process can be said to be more meaningful for them. Susanti et. al (2020) stated that project-based learning can increase student activity, project-based interactive ebooks as one of the teaching materials that emphasize more on activities carried out by students which aim to produce more meaningful learning.…”

“…This means that this module not only contains relevant material but also ensures that the material meets all curriculum criteria. Learning modules ideally contain lesson material and also work activities carried out by students (Nora et al, 2023), so that they are useful for independent learning (Hasbie et al, 2023;Matsun & Saputri, 2020), improving science process skill and student learning outcome (Yusra et al, 2021), creativity (Eurika et al, 2023;Susanti et al, 2020), and decision-making skills (Fadha et al, 2023;Saputra et al, 2023).…”
