The problem of innovation is a key one for most of the industrialized countries of the world. Scientific and technical products resulting from intellectual activity need to create a system of protection of industrial property rights, which is a mandatory attribute of developed countries. The efficiency of modern Russian national economy is based on the scientific and technical potential of the country, along with natural and labor resources. The transition of the economy to a new qualitative state increases the importance of innovation and the development of high-tech industries, which, ultimately, are the most important factor in overcoming the economic crisis and providing conditions for economic growth. The innovative development of the Russian oil and gas sector depends on the state of the world market. It is necessary to look for other sources directly related to the main issues of scientific and technological development, including: improving the efficiency of exploration; increase of efficiency of development of oil and gasoline in remote areas; improving the efficiency of exploration in the floodplains of the remaining oil reserves; the increase in the average and low production of dense and high-quality construction of wells to a depth of more than 4 km; increasing the productivity of reservoir wells with low permeability. Therefore, scientific foundations of the development of oil and gas complex and the law of the development of innovative technologies are very relevant and have important theoretical and practical significance. The relevance of the topic of the article is expressed in the fact that the world's largest oil and gas companies are constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency, including through the use of innovative methods of oil search, exploration and production. In this case, the competitiveness and long-term survival of an oil company depends on the effectiveness of its innovation activities. The article considers the main innovative technologies in oil production in Russia and their features.

The article considers the main reasons for the occurrence of technological losses of oil, as well as the state of innovation activity in the oil and gas complex of Russia and abroad. The main idea of modern trends in the oil industry, today, has become energy saving. The preparation and processing of associated petroleum gas is directly related to high energy intensity indicators, since these processes are carried out by creating and maintaining a continuous technology. The interest of manufacturers in reducing the costs (resource and financial) for production without compromising the quality of products leads to innovative growth. The goal is to reduce electricity consumption, so one of the main ideas of the developments is to create new technologies that are aimed at rational use of energy. The largest energy costs are spent on: gas compression, its movement around the production facility, creating positive and negative temperature values in a wide range, as well as maintaining the operation of the equipment at the created temperature regime. In the period of economic globalization, the task of effective development of oil and gas complex is more urgent than ever. An important role in the modern economy is played by the innovative activity of oil and gas processing enterprises, which contributes to improving the quality of services and goods. Lack of resources, depreciation of technical funds, old wells, as well as the slow development of new oil and gas fields leads to a slow development of industry, which necessitates the introduction and active use of innovative technologies. The article also presents methods for evaluating the commercial efficiency of investments, highlights the main principles for evaluating the effectiveness of an investment project in the oil and gas industry.

Today, the development of oil and gas complex is one of the most important factors in the development of the economy of each country. In the Samara region, oil and gas industry is of particular importance, as it is one of the main sources of income in the region. Therefore, the main objectives of this report will be to show the need to change the use of resource-saving technologies in the oil and gas industry in the conditions of energy transition and stable development. And also to consider in more detail the characteristics of oil and gas complex of the Samara region. Since oil and gas complex is one of the branches of the economy that is associated with the research, exploration, production, processing and transportation of oil and gas, this sector combines both companies and organizations working in the field of oil and gas exploration, production and processing, as well as equipment manufacturers, suppliers services, producers of petroleum products and gas companies.
