Abstract: Nas últimas décadas, os plantios de teca têm alcançado destaque no setor florestal brasileiro, contudo, o manejo da espécie é, ainda, por vezes baseado em conhecimentos insuficientes e inadequados, visto que apresenta, em geral, crescimento superior no continente americano, o que dificulta estabelecer comparações entre os regimes de manejo praticados no mundo e os resultados das práticas silviculturais em locais com características edafoclimáticas distintas.
