CT appearance of calcified tumor thrombus in the inferior vena cava

Abstract: Abstract.We report the unusual occurrence of calcified tumor thrombus in the inferior vena cava (IVC) in a patient with renal cell carcinoma diagnosed by computed tomography (CT).Key words: Renal cell carcinoma, calcified tumor thrombus--Computed tomography.Extension of tumor thrombus into the inferior vena cava (IVC) is a well-known complication of renal cell carcinoma.
