“…Mitral valve prolapse appears to be an uncommon cause of regurgitation in coronary artery disease with or without LVA, and if they appear in concert, it is a coincidence of two frequent disorders (Godley el al., 1981). Two laboratories have described incomplete coaptation of the mitral leaflets due to inferior traction of a papillary muscle during apical dyskinesis (Godley et al, 1981;Ogawa et al, 1979). These findings need further verification, but are mentioned as possibly useful clues, revealed only with an ultrasound probe.…”
