“…The research team engaged in careful readings of participants’ narratives to become familiar with the data and discussed the several most salient points presented in the whole data set (Tracy, 2013). “Low-inference” (Ziskin, 2019, p. 618) and descriptive codes were naturally developed to identify and organize those emerging points. The initial readings and subsequent team discussions yielded several preliminary, descriptive findings, which we shared with some study participants during their follow-up interviews and other student veterans for verification and confirmation.…”

Bass' positioning of the U.S. as the global leader, "a single superpower" evidences a global encroachment and foregrounding of whiteness by way of superiority, intellect, and priority (Ziskin, 2019), boldly positioning it as equivalent to these two universally critical issues.…”

“…Aside from this analysis, the Dahlegren & Fallsberg's (1991) seven steps: familiarization, condensations, comparison, grouping, articulating labeling, and The interpretative and descriptive analysis approach helps the author to understand how the school principals support teachers to foster student grit in their view (Ziskin, 2019). The authors used multiple cycling analysis to emerge the significant themes to understand the lived experiences of grit phenomenon through interaction, analytic memos, and associated with answering the research questions.…”
