“…If these characteristics are verifiable in all developed welfare states, they are even more so in the Southern European welfare states that emerged in the context of the international crisis of the second half of the 1970s and where the social pacts enabled the achievement of reforms in policies of social protection, employment, and income until the emergence of the 2008 economic and financial crisis.
