O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente ao acaso em parcelas subdivididas no tempo, com seis tratamentos defi nidos pelas lâminas de irrigação (T1=0,50xET0; T2=0,75xET0; T3=1,0xET0; T4=1,25xET0; T5=1,5xET0 e T6=1,75xETO) ABSTRACT The objective of this study has been to evaluate the essential oil produ… Show more

“…According to Meira et al (2013), water deficit has direct effects on vegetative growth, biomass production and contents of secondary metabolites. The water deficit favored the effect of the irrigation depths on chamomile development (Figures 2, 3 and 4), directly interfering with the content of flavonoid and essential oil.…”

“…The regression analysis showed that the water volume applied had a strong correlation with LDM, presenting an R² of 0.9980 in the seconddegree polynomial regression (Figure 3B). Meira et al (2013) observed dry mass values between 2.39 and 7.16 g, where the lowest values were obtained in the plants that received the lowest water volumes (50% of the reference evapotranspiration) and the highest values in the plants that received the highest water volumes (175% of the reference evapotranspiration). Through regression analysis, the authors obtained an R² of 0.931 in the linear regression.…”

“…The present climatic conditions in the north, west (Minas Gerais Triangle), northwest, and east were considered suitable for the development and production of urucum. This result is very important, because few of the crops in the north are well adapted to the low water conditions (Meira et al 2013), so the introduction of a new adaptive regional crop is socio-economically important as an optional new income for the farmers in the region (Silva et al 2007). Unaí, Janaúba, Nanuque, Iturama, and Manhuaçu were considered suitable regions for cultivation and Minas Gerais did not contain any marginally suitable regions.…”
