Creativity and liking Republicans: Ideology or outgroup support?

Abstract: Liking for Democrats and Republicans was indicated by 52 freshman and sophomore university students, who were also tested for creativity by choosing polygons differing in complexitysimplicity. Previous research has shown that creative people tend to prefer complexity. Creative students liked Republicans to a significantly greater extent than did noncreative students.
