Cp₂Ti^IV-Komplexe mit Oximatoliganden / Cp₂Ti^IV Complexes with Oximato Ligands

Abstract

The reaction of Cp2TiCl2 with oximes in the two phase system (CHC13, Cp2TiCl2)/(H20 , NaOH, oxime) leads to ionic complexes of the type [Cp2TiIV (H20)(oximato)]+X". Several com plexes of this type were prepared. They are surprisingly stable against air and water. The fol lowing compounds are described in detail: [Cp2Ti(H2O)(ONC6H l0)]NO3 (8) containing a cyclohexanoneoximato ligand, and two complexes with 1,4-cyclohexanedionedioximato ligands, namely the mononuclear complex [Cp2Ti(H20 )(0 N C 6H8N0H)]Cl • H20 (9) and the dinuclear complex [Cp,Ti(H20 )(0 N C 6H8N 0)(H ,0)TiC p2](N 0 3)2-4H20 (10). X-ray structure determi nations show, that the ON fragment of the oximato ligand acts as side-on bonded three-elec tron donating ligand. The Ti atom thus has an 18-electron configuration. Das Ti-Zentrum , an dem zwei zusätzliche anionische Liganden X gebunden sind, weist dabei eine 16-Elektronenkonfiguration auf.r 0 C I OC-Mo^N=C(CH3)2 Ti--D< NO SCNv ,NCS SCN SCN Obwohl durch die Anlagerung eines zusätzli chen Neutralliganden -wie beispielsweise T H Fdie Edelgaskonfiguration erreicht würde und ob wohl M O-Betrachtungen nahelegen [1], daß K om plexe des Typs 2 stabil sein sollten (D = N eutral ligand), ist kein einziger entsprechender Ti-Kom-* S onderdruckan fo rd erung en an Prof. D r. U. T hew alt.Verlag der Zeitschrift für Naturforschung, D-7400 Tübingen 0932-0776/91/0400-0475/$ 01.00/0 plex bekannt. Offenbar ist der Radius des Ti-Zentrums so klein, daß drei einzähnige Ligan den nicht "passen" . Dieser Interpretation ent spricht der Befund, daß Komplexe des Typs 2 mit dem größeren Zr als Zentralatom existieren [2]. Mit "maßgeschneiderten" Chelatliganden gelingt es jedoch, Ti-Komplexe des Typs 3 darzustellen (eine 2-Elektronendonor-plus zwei 1-Elektronen donorfunktionen) [3][4][5], Eine weitere M öglich keit, "platzsparend" ein 4-Elektronendonorsystem an das Titanatom zu bringen, besteht darin, einen 1 -Elektronendonor zusammen mit einem kom pak ten 3-Elektronendonor (2 aneinander gebundene Donoratom e) zu verwenden. Ein Beispiel hierfür ist der Komplex 4 [6], Am Anfang der vorliegen den Arbeit stand die Frage, ob auch mit anderen Ligandsystemen zu 4 analoge Cp2T iIV-Komplexe erhältlich sind. Als potentieller 3-Elektronendonor mit unm ittelbar benachbarten D onoratom en bot sich die Oximatogruppe an. Entsprechende, struk turell abgesicherte Komplexe mit "side-on" ge bundenen Oximatoliganden sind die M olybdän verbindungen 5 [7] und 6 [8]. Umsetzungen von Cp2TiCl2 mit Oximen wurden verschiedentlich durchgeführt [9-13], In allen Fällen ist der Bau der Reaktionsprodukte unbekannt. Vorgeschla gen wurden jeweils Strukturen mit nur via N oder nur via O am Ti-Zentrum gebundenen Oximatogruppen.
