Abstract

Distance education platforms have started to be used in university education with the outbreak of Covid-19 in our country. Personal data of students and academic staff are processed on these platforms. All these personal data must be processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. In particular, it is necessary to act in accordance with the Law in recording the courses and exams conducted through the platforms and transferring the data to third parties. Otherwise, criminal and administrative responsibilities arise in accordance with the Law. In our study, it is aimed to examine these platforms used by universities in the Covid-19 outbreak within the framework of the law on protection of personal data.
