The outbreak of Covid-19 led to the migration of 1729 adults, who had applied to the University of Ghana to go through an access course for writing the Mature Entrance Examination for admission into undergraduate programmes. A survey was conducted to explore the experiences of the students. The study revealed that over 90% of the respondents were proficient in the use of ICTs. They used the Sakai learning management platform, zoom, and emails for their teaching and learning engagements. Four in five (84%) respondents preferred 50% online tuition and 50% face-to-face tuition. They, however, had issues with poor internet connectivity, the high cost of data for the internet, and limited contact time. Basic support systems such as the provision of high-speed but affordable internet services and increased online interactions will be of help to such students.

COVID-19 has had an impact on the entire humankind and has been proved to spread in deadly waves. As a result, preparedness and planning are required to better deal with the epidemic’s upcoming waves. Effective planning, on the other hand, necessitates detailed vulnerability assessments at all levels, from the national to the state or regional. There are several issues at the regional level, and each region has its own features. As a result, each region needs its own COVID-19 vulnerability assessment. In terms of climate, terrain and demographics, the state of Uttarakhand differs significantly from the rest of India. As a result, a vulnerability assessment of the next COVID-19 variation (Omicron BA.2) is required for district-level planning to meet regional concerns. A total of 17 variables were chosen for this study, including demographic, socio-economic, infrastructure, epidemiological and tourism-related factors. AHP was used to compute their weights. After applying min–max normalisation to the data, a district-level quantitative SWOT is created to compare the performance of 13 Uttarakhand districts. A COVID-19 vulnerability index (normalised R i ) ranging between 0 and 1 was produced, and district-level vulnerabilities were mapped. Quantitative SWOT results depict that Dehradun is a best performing district followed by Haridwar, while Bageshwar, Rudra Prayag, Champawat and Pithoragarh are on the weaker side and the normalised Ri proves Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar and Chamoli to be least vulnerable to COVID-19 (normalised R i ≤ 0.25) and Pithoragarh to be the most vulnerable district (normalised R i > 0.90). Pauri Garwal and Uttarkashi are moderately vulnerable (normalised R i 0.50 to 0.75). Following Covid-19, many business actors find it challenging to maintain a competitive edge in their industries, particularly in North Sumatra Province's Hamlet I, Dalu 10 A Village, Tanjung Morawa District, and Tanjung Morawa Village. SWOT analysis is utilized as a part of counseling and is a solution to issues faced by business players in the Dusun I area of Dalu Village 10 A so that they can apply an understanding of competitive strategy. A planning tool called a SWOT analysis can be used to recognize, evaluate, and account for potential internal and external issues that may impair a company's ability to carry on with its operations. The preparation stage, the field activity implementation stage, and the activity evaluation stage are the stages of this counseling activity. Lectures and conversations are the methods employed in this counseling activity. The accomplishment of outcomes in developing material understanding in the form of creating business plans utilizing SWOT analysis is the outcome of this activity Abstrak Pasca Covid-19, banyak pelaku usaha yang kesulitan bersaing dalam menjalankan usahanya, khususnya yang berada di Dusun I, Desa Dalu 10 A, Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Agar para pelaku usaha dapat menerapkan pemahaman tentang strategi bersaing, analisis SWOT digunakan sebagai bagian dari penyuluhan dan menjadi solusi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pelaku usaha di wilayah Dusun I Desa Dalu 10 A. Analisis SWOT merupakan teknik perencanaan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi, menilai, dan memperhitungkan potensi masalah internal dan eksternal serta dapat mempengaruhi kapasitas suatu usaha untuk melanjutkan operasinya. Tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan lapangan, dan tahap evaluasi kegiatan merupakan tahapan dari kegiatan penyuluhan ini. Ceramah dan diskusi adalah metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan konseling ini. Tercapainya luaran dalam mengembangkan pemahaman materi berupa pembuatan rencana usaha dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT merupakan hasil dari kegiatan ini.
