“…[53] Thew ell-defined pores, excellent stability and fine-tuned physicochemical properties of COFs make them appealing candidates as PSs and catalysts for fuel production. [54] Ad ibenzo [b,d]thiophene sulfone moiety can be integrated into aC OF (33,F igure 16), which leads to ah igh photocatalytic performance of 10 mmol H 2 h À1 g À1 when used in presence of Pt and AA as SED. [43c] TheCOF allows broad visible light absorption (E g = Figure 13.…”

“…Additionally, we wish to take this chance to discuss the current status of using covalent organic frameworks (COFs) [27][28][29] -the newly emerged porous and crystalline frameworks whose structures are solely made up of the organic building blocksfor the photoreduction of CO 2 although their catalytic uses in this purpose are at the early stage of development and have not been considerably employed yet. [30,31] This work describes the foundational knowledge of the photocatalytic CO 2 reduction, including the background, general mechanism and pathways, methods of characterization supporting the reaction mechanism. We aim to shape and consolidate the fundamental of the photoreduction, which is the preliminary interpretability for the second part, applications of reticular materials for the photoreduction of CO 2 , to supportably introduce the photocatalytic chemistry to emerging scholars.…”

“…[5,6] COFs have also been found to be effective catalysts and numerous catalytic, photocatalytic and electrocatalytic applications have been reported. [7,8,9] A notable example of COF catalysis employs an imine-based COF to achieve CO2 fixation using a process that avoids the typical shortcomings (e.g. metal toxicity and product contamination).…”
