Abstract:A set of coupled equations with a self-consistent optical potential which is explicitly expressed in terms of a set of functions constructed to account for the polarization, correlations, and short-range interactions is derived for scattering and rearrangement collisions. Applications of the self-consistent coupled equations to several atomic collision problems are considered. Numerical illustrations are given for the investigation of the resonance structures in elastic {e, H) scatterings.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
