“…The internship experience has developed into an important issue in counselor education training. Support for the internship experience can be found in the ACES (1978) recommendation for its inclusion in doctoral training, the view of importance for it that is held by employers (Sherry, 1978), and the added educational advantages such an experience offers over traditional training methods (Davis, 1974;Packwood, 1973. ) Those candidates interested in applying for an internship position in a college or university counseling center, however, will find little information available to them about existing positions.…”
