ABSTRACT:In wireless telecommunication, the network consists of a broadcast server with a set of clients. It sends a group of information to the clients in a desired closed loop path. According to the information send by the broadcasting server the clients access it this should be happen in a cyclic path. In olden days we use fixed directional antennas for transmitting the signal from one place to another. Due to some drawback over the existing one we use multiple directional antennas at the Broadcast Server has been shown to increase performance. In many cases however, such broadcasting systems fail to exploit the full potential of the multiple antennas as they do not take into account the geographical distribution of clients within the coverage area of the system. In this project we are proposes an adaptive smart antenna based wireless push system where the beam width of each smart antenna is altered based on the current placement of clients within the system area. Coupled with a modification of the broadcast schedule, the proposed approach significantly increases the performance observed by the system clients..

Generalizing the Square Root Rule for Optimal Periodic Scheduling in Push-Based Wireless Environments

The present paper proposes a generalization of the square root rule for optimal periodic scheduling. The rule defines a ratio of item occurrences in a schedule, which minimizes the mean serving time. However, the actual number of each item's occurrences must be an integer. Therefore, the square root rule assumes large schedules, in order for the ratio to hold with acceptable precision. The present paper introduces an analysis-derived formula which connects the mean serving time and the size of the schedule. The relation shows that small schedules can also achieve near-optimal serving times. The analysis is validated through comparison with simulation and brute force-derived results. Finally, it is shown that minimizing the size of the schedule is also an efficient way of optimizing the aggregate scheduling cost.

To provide increasing multimedia broadcast/multicast services (MBMSs), the third generation partnership project modified long-term evolution release nine documents to further support evolved MBMSs (e-MBMS). This study designed a data-broadcasting method called evolved broadcast scheduling algorithm (eBSA). This eBSA provides new scheduling technology for e-MBMS and a new information searching method for user equipments (UEs) that simultaneously conserves UE energy and maintains favourable access latency of broadcast messages. The eBSA constructs index and message channels based on the message popularities, using the index channel to guide UEs to rapidly locate the position of the desired message in the message channel. If searching for unpopular messages, the index channel guides UEs directly to conduct a linear search. Consequently, a short mean access time and mean turning time can be attained. The results of numerical analysis verify that when access messages possess skewed-access characteristics, the proposed eBSA method performs exceptionally. Additionally, by adequately adjusting the parameter provided by the eBSA method, the optimal tradeoff between energy conservation and access latency performance can be attained.
