Cosmology from Non‐Minimal Geometry‐Matter Coupling

Abstract: We construct a cosmological model from the inception of the Friedmann‐Lemâitre‐Robertson‐Walker metric into the field equations of the gravity theory, with R being the Ricci scalar and being the matter lagrangian density. The formalism is developed for a particular function, namely , with σ being a constant that carries the geometry‐matter coupling. Our solutions are remarkably capable of evading the Big‐Bang singularity as well as predict the cosmic acceleration with no need for the cosmological constant, … Show more

“…The astrophysical and other implications of such a theory have been examined in [38][39][40][41] with consequences for Neutron star and White Dwarf physics. Some cosmological aspects with specific choices of  m have been considered in [42][43][44][45][46][47]. Except for [43], the choice of the function f (R, L m ) is different from ours.…”

“…Moreover, the f (R, L m ) modified theory of gravity does not satisfy the equivalence principle, and it is constrained by the solar system tests [42,43]. Nowadays, plenty of interesting cosmological implications of f (R, L m ) gravity theory started appearing in the literature; for instance, check references [44][45][46][47][48][49][50].…”

“…With this regard, in [40] we can see the constraints on ( )  f , m L gravity models from solar system experiments. In literature, one can see numerous works on curvature-matter coupling gravity theories [41][42][43][44][45][46][47][48].…”
