Cosmological wormholes inf(R)theories of gravity

Abstract: Motivated by recent proposals of possible wormhole existence in galactic halos, we analyse the cosmological evolution of wormhole solutions in modified f (R) gravity. We construct a dynamical wormhole that asymptotically approaches FLRW universe, with supporting material going to the perfect isotropic fluid described by the equation of state for radiation and matter dominated universe respectively. Our analysis is based on an approximation of a small wormhole -a wormhole that can be treated as matched with the… Show more

“…They are useful both for simplification of differential equations and determination of integrable systems. In our context, the Noether Symmetry Approach is often used in modified and extended gravity theories for constraining the functional form of the Lagrangian densities f (R), f (T ), f (R, G ) etc., as well as finding solutions of the field equations from such point-like Lagrangians [7,[20][21][22][23][24][25].…”

“…Saiedi and Esfahani [60] studied null and weak energy conditions for wormholes with constant shape and redshift functions in f (R) gravity. Bahamonde et al [61] developed dynamical wormholes in f (R) gravity. Peter [62] computed wormhole solutions using different types of shape functions in f (R) gravity and studied traversable wormholes.…”

“…Following the arguments in Ref. [60] we generalize our solution (27) by introducing a Kerr-like metric which describes a rotating wormhole in BEC dark matter halo. The metric has the following form…”
