“…Algae are less efficient at photosynthesis under low-oxygen conditions, hindering their ability to utilize light energy for the reduction of chlorophyll-a concentrations. This limitation may stem from the constrained growth, metabolism, and photosynthetic activity of algae due to insufficient dissolved oxygen levels [33,34]. Therefore, both excessively low and high dissolved oxygen concentrations are detrimental to the effectiveness of solar-powered ultrasonic carbon fiber ecological floating-bed systems in algae removal.…”

“…It is reported that Chl-a is positively related with total nitrogen and phosphorus in the Lake Ulansuhai, Inner Mongolia, China, and relationships between Chl-a and TN, TP are further quantified by simple linear regressions [6]. Ruan et al [7] suggest that, for shallow lakes in the Suzhou areas on the lower reach of the Tai Lake, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and chemical oxygen demand are significantly and positively related with Chl-a concentration but no significant relationship is found between TN, TP and Chl-a.…”
