“…Five principal parameters (NIRF, 2018) used in NIRF ranking in the overall category of institutions are as follows: Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity and Peer Perception. To assess the status quo of ILS and WSDS transitions, we examined the "Overall" category, as this category is discipline-independent and has a minimum of 1,000 full time students in undergraduate and graduate programmes (NIRF, 2020b), and institutions that are investing on library services were found to be ranked higher as Kumar et al (2021) evidenced that there is a correlation between library expenditure and rankings. For this study, all the 200 top institutions were selected for data collection from the "Overall" category, and we evaluated their institutional library websites, specifically their ILS and WSDS platforms used.…”
