The study investigates the research contributions of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak in terms of its publication output during 2000-2013 as reflected through Scopus database. The study analyses the year-wise research productivity, its citations impact, national and international collaborations, top collaborating institutions, subject-wise distribution of papers, journals used for communication, most preferred journals for publication, most prolific authors, number of citations received, and top cited papers of the University during the period under study.
Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a precancerous state which affects the oral cavity. The etiology of OSMF is due to various factors like chilies consumption, deficiency of nutrition, areca nut chewing habits, genetic susceptibility, altered salivary constituents, and autoimmunity and collagen disorders. The present study is undertaken to find out the publication trends on OSMF during 1967-2016. The study mainly focus on year and decade wise research output, national and international collaborations, top journals for publications, most prolific authors, authorship pattern, citations pattern and highly cited papers on OSMF. The results indicate that highest growth rate of publications occurred between the years 1997-2006. India’s research share, citation score and h index was highest among all countries. Central South University, China topped the scene among all institutes. The maximum publications were two authored publications. CP Chiang of National Taiwan University was found to be the most prolific author.
CCS Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) is among the top ten agricultural universities of India according to ICAR ranking 2016-17. The present study has been undertaken to find out the publication trends in this university during 2001-2015. The study mainly focusses on year-wise research output, major subject categories, national and international collaborations, top journals for publication, most prolific authors, keywords, authorship pattern, citations pattern and highly cited paper of CCSHAU. The 15 year publication data of the university indicate that a total of 2649 paper were published from 2001-2015 receiving 15282 citation. Nearly 47% of the university research was published in ten journal and it has collaborated with many institutions at national and international level in its research publication.
Down syndrome, a genetic disease, is commonly diagnosed congenital malformation/mental retardation syndrome occurring in people of all races and economic levels. The present study is aimed to examine the contribution of Indian scientists on Down syndrome during the 40 years span from 1973-2012. The study analyses the Indian share in the research output, contribution and citation impact of top Indian institutions, most prolific Indian authors, top journals for publication, top collaborating countries, number of citations received and the highly cited papers in the Indian research on Down syndrome.
