Abstract:The present work aimed at evaluating the possible relationship between the Escherichia coli counts and the concentrations of free CO 2 , dissolved oxygen, reactive phosphorus, total ammonia, nitrite and pH in water samples of the Lagoa da Parangaba (Fortaleza, Ceará).
