Abstract:We report a magnetic characterization of iron thin films of 6 nm prepared on Si (001) substrates by sputtering at different substrate temperatures. Magnetization loops and zero field cooling-field cooling measurements were performed to unveil the magnetic features of such systems. Magnetic parameters show that films prepared at very low temperature ( S = 200 K) present features of a core-shell granular systems, formed by ferromagnetic iron grains surrounded by an antiferromagnetic iron oxide phase.Index Terms-… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
