Coordinated demand response of power‐to‐gas and FlexGas technologies in integrated power and gas system to accommodate wind energy

Abstract: Power-to-gas (P2G) provides a promising solution to accommodate wind power in recent years, which accelerates the integration of the power system and gas network, as well as the development of the integrated demand response. This study proposes a two-layer scheduling framework to coordinate P2G and FlexGas as demand response in the integrated power and gas system (IPGS) under wind power uncertainties. Firstly, the model for FlexGas technology is developed, enabling the end-users to switch between natural gas a… Show more

“…DMG t (13) By the analogy to R-B index measuring the oscillations in flow relative to total flow, the FI index is derived by dividing the total net load by the sum of the hourly/daily difference for the day/year. In terms of the similarity of river flow and energy load, and the conclusion obtained by Baker DB that lower coefficients of variation provides the R-B index with greater power to detect the flow trends, the FI index proposed in this paper will be useful in the characterization of load uniformity.…”
