“…Musgrove et al (32) think that as income rises there is a convergence in the healthcare spending represented by public expenditure and out-of-pocket spending in WHO member states. Clemente et al (33) found several convergence groups and reveal the existence of different patterns of behavior and disparities in the Spanish health system. However, contradictory conclusions are also proved by Lau et al (7), who provide evidence that cannot be rejected by the existence of unit root for the health expenditure of most EU member states, even after taking non-linearity into account.…”

Furthermore, within each Autonomous Community different organisations exist to accredit professional competencies; the categories established may receive different levels of remuneration, but these differences do not necessarily imply any modification of clinical roles and responsibilities.…”

“…According to the findings, health care is a (national) necessity, not a luxury good, as prior research has shown. Clemente et al . (2019a, b) studied the convergence in government health spending across the different regions of Spain covering a period of 1991–2010.…”

“…Instead, the study discovers multiple convergence clubs demonstrating distinct behavioral patterns and significant variations in the Spanish health system. Clemente et al . (2019a, b) examines the evolution of state health expenditures in the United States from 1966 to 2014.…”
