The paper presents new records for 39 vascular plant species from eight Eurasian countries. Aniselytron treutleri (Poaceae), Hackelochloa granularis (Poaceae), Melica kozlovii (Poaceae) and Melica nutans (Poaceae) are reported from China; Dichondra micrantha (Convolvulaceae) from Hungary; Orobanche serbica (Orobanchaceae) and Viscum album subsp. austriacum (Santalaceae) from Italy; Petrorhagia prolifera (Caryophyllaceae), Puccinellia schischkinii and Stipa pulcherrima (Poaceae) from Kyrgyzstan; Megadenia speluncarum (Brassicaceae), Phelipanche lavandulacea (Orobanchaceae), Solanum physalifolium (Solanaceae), Thymus lenensis (Lamiaceae) from Russia; Rubus phoenicolasius (Rosaceae) from Slovakia; Atraphaxis karataviensis (Polygonaceae) from Tajikistan; as well as Rubus austroslovacus and R. crispomarginatus

Crocus series Scardici has only two members, C. scardicus and C. pelistericus distributed at higher elevations in the Balkan Peninsula. In the course of our research, we discovered two new species growing on alpine meadows and pastures in the serpentine massifs in Albania and limestones in North Macedonia, respectively. The morphology and phylogenetic analyses (two nuclear single-copy markers, nrITS, two chloroplast markers) place the new species within series Scardici. Both new species are closely related to C. scardicus, but morphologically and ecologically clearly differentiated. We also measured genome sizes for all series Scardici species and report here the largest genomes found up to now in crocuses. The impact of different habitat types and isolation on separate mountain ranges in this alpine group of plants is discussed, too.

Genus Lindernia All. (Linderniaceae) in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Field research conducted in the Peripanonian part of Bosnia and Herzegovina resulted in new and noteworthy records for the genus Lindernia. For the first time, alien L. dubia was recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and new localities of threatened L. procumbens were also discovered. Individuals of both species grew in wetland vegetation of the class Isoëto-Nanojuncetea. The paper presents data on the morphology, ecology and distribution of species of the genus Lindernia. The alien status of L. dubia in Bosnia and Herzegovina is determined as the initial phase of naturalisation. The threatened status of L. procumbens in Bosnia and Herzegovina is assessed as endangered. These results contribute to a better knowledge of the flora and vegetation of ephemeral wetlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Balkans, which are still not sufficiently explored.
