Contribuição para o conhecimento da biologia de Cynosciou jamaicensis (Vaillant & Bocourt, 1883), na area entre cabo de São Tomé (22º04's) e Torres (29º21's), Brasil

Abstract

Data were obtained from 1891 specimens of four trips aboard R/V "prof. W. Besnard"~ from Cabo de são Tomé (22°04'5) to Torres (29°21 '5). This species occurs along the cont1.:nental shelf~ prefgrably on the region of coastal water influence with temperatures bet"ú.Jeen 27°C and 18°C. There are young and adults along the coast~ in all depths ~ although it Was observed young in February-March at 22°5 and 27°5 and~ during other months ~ at 23°20 ' 5 and 27°30'S~ while the adults are distributed at 26 °5 and 27 °30 ' 5 in takes place between latitudes 24°30'5 and 26 °3 0 ' 5 in winter-spring (5eptember-November J.
