“…In a small study [22 ] from Gothenburg of 15 patients (11 women and four men) with continent cutaneous reservoir and 12 men with orthotopic bladder substitution, global health/quality of life did not differ significantly between the two groups using the EORTC Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30) instrument. The same group of authors [23] have also published a paper showing high appreciation of this type of diversion in patients with spinal cord injury. Furthermore, they found that orthotopic patients are more troubled by urinary leakage than patients with cutaneous continent reservoirs, validating this type of diversion as an alternative in bladder cancer patients.…”
