Algebraic graph theory is the study of the interplay between algebraic structures (both abstract as well as linear structures) and graph theory. Many concepts of abstract algebra have facilitated through the construction of graphs which are used as tools in computer science. Conversely, graph theory has also helped to characterize certain algebraic properties of abstract algebraic structures. In this survey, we highlight the rich interplay between the two topics viz groups and power graphs from groups. In the last decade, extensive contribution has been made towards the investigation of power graphs. Our main motive is to provide a complete survey on the connectedness of power graphs and proper power graphs, the Laplacian and adjacency spectrum of power graph, isomorphism, and automorphism of power graphs, characterization of power graphs in terms of groups. Apart from the survey of results, this paper also contains some new material such as the contents of Section 2 (which describes the interesting case of the power graph of the Mathieu group M11) and Section 6.1 (where conditions are discussed for the reduced power graph to be not connected). We conclude this paper by presenting a set of open problems and conjectures on power graphs.

El objetivo de este artículo es responder la pregunta: ¿Cuál es el significado del objeto matemático Grupo? Para esto, se tiene en cuenta como referente teórico el Enfoque Ontosemiótico del Conocimiento y la Instrucción matemática. En esta dirección, se presenta una síntesis de la reconstrucción del significado global del objeto Grupo y de los significados de referencia dados en dos libros clásicos (Herstein y Gallian) y en dos libros contemporáneos (Lezama y Caicedo), siguiendo la metodología del análisis semiótico de textos, propuesta por dicho enfoque. Como resultado, se presentan los significados del objeto Grupo tanto global como los parciales, identificados en libros, donde se evidencia que estos pretenden llegar al trabajo con el significado “Abstracto”. Además, se proponen situaciones-problemas como estrategia de enseñanza para promover la comprensión de significados parciales identificados en las configuraciones epistémicas, emergentes del estudio epistemológico e histórico. El estudio de los significados de este objeto es importante en el diseño de la instrucción, para decidir cuáles de estos se implementan en el proceso de instrucción a través de las prácticas matemáticas que motivaron su desarrollo.

In 1994 (AT CRYPTO94) introduced the celebrated Zemor-Tillich hash function over SL2(F2n) is mathematically very efficient and simple method but now finally it was broken by Grassl et al., 2011. Yet with a new choice of generators Zemor-Tillich constructions still remains of interest and a lot of construction was based on this type of hash function was created. One of our new construction is the devised Hash Function as follows: to an arbitrary text of {0, 1} *, associate the string of {A, B} obtained by substituting 0 for A and 1 for B, then assign to A and B values of adequately chosen matrices of Heis(Z). Now, in this paper we suggest a new version of a Cayley hash function using a discrete Heisenberg group. The Hashed value is the computed product. We improved the security Properties of the Cayley Hash Function. Here we hold a different concept to form a Factorisation Problem harder. We hold an efficient way to impose limits on the type of factorisations for attacking H.
