Objectives: to elaborate and validate a data collection tool for nursing consultation with men in the context of Primary Health Care. Method: a methodological study developed in four stages. The first one consisted in tool elaboration, using databases and the Dorothea Orem’s theoretical model. In the second and third stages, content validation and tool appearance by 23 nurse judges took place. The Concordance Index was used for assessment. In the fourth stage, a pilot test was carried out with 20 men using Primary Health Care. Results: of the 145 indicators prepared, organized and submitted to validation process, items with the Concordance Index <0.80 were excluded. The final tool consisted of 156 items. An overall 0.88 Concordance Index calculation was obtained. Conclusions: the final tool presented content validity for data collection with men in Primary Health Care.

Objective: To develop a bundle-shaped Educational Technology on immunobiological conservation to assist continuing education practices in the vaccine room at the local level. Methodology: Methodological study, directed to the vaccine room of a School Health Center, located in Belém-PA, from September to November 2019. For the elaboration, a bibliographic survey on immunobiological conservation was carried out. Data analysis was performed from the grouping and organization of the information collected in an electronic spreadsheet structured in the Microsoft Excel program® 2010. Results: Based on the analysis, the themes to be highlighted in the bundle were defined, being: correct form of storage and administration of immunobiologicals; how to correctly perform the measurement of the temperature of the immunological; in addition to the contingency plan. Conclusion: Good practices in immunobiological storage are presented as ensuring the effectiveness of immunization.

Validation of Health Education Material for Youth: A Step to Ensure Implementation Fidelity in Community-Based Interventions

Health education materials such as flipbooks enhance learning and deliver key messages in a captivating mode. Validation of such materials is crucial to ensuring implementation fidelity. We conducted a study to achieve two objectives: (a) to develop two flipbooks, one each for adolescents and young married women (YMW); (b) to validate the flipbooks using five parameters, namely, content validity, construct validity, concurrent validity, relevance, and face validity. The study was a part of a community-based peer-led intervention on health, nutrition, and hygiene. The content validity and relevance were assessed by interviewing outreach workers (ORWs, n = 42) using self-administered five-point Likert scale-based tools. A pre- and post-intervention assessment of knowledge among adolescents (n = 100) and YMW (n = 50) across six out of 13 intervention sites was done to evaluate the construct validity. The two flipbooks contained 12 structured sessions with five key messages per session, in addition to illustrations, discussion points, and theme-based stories at the end of each session. The content and relevancy indices were ranked above 80% by ORW. There was a statistically significant increase in the knowledge scores of adolescents (p < 0.001) and YMW (p < 0.001) post intervention. The validation process helps in assessing the relevance and appropriateness of the education content for greater acceptance and responsiveness by the users.
