Construção de um recurso para avaliar e promover automonitoria visando à competência social na infância

Abstract

ResumoAvaliar e promover indicadores de automonitoria na infância é fundamental para promover competência social, mas no Brasil, não há estratégias para isso. Este estudo relata a elaboração do Recurso Ilustrativo para Automonitoria (RIA), à base de vinhetas gráficas, para avaliação (RIA-A) e intervenção (RIA-I), respectivamente, em formato informatizado e impresso para crianças entre quatro e seis anos. A construção do RIA constou de três etapas descritas nesse artigo: (1) seleção das habilidades sociais;(2) descrição das situações, respostas e consequências; (3) produção dos desenhos e organização em itens. Essas etapas resultaram em dois formatos do RIA -para avaliação e promoção de automonitoria que é composto de 12 itens. Cada item contém: uma situação social, três alternativas de respostas (uma de habilidade social, uma ativa/agressiva e outra passiva) e a possível consequência para cada alternativa. Análises psicométricas preliminares quanto à consistência interna foram satisfatórias. Implicações desse recurso são discutidas. AbstractEvaluate and promote self-monitoring indicators in childhood is important to improve social competence, but in Brazil, there are no instruments for such purpose. This study reports the development of the Self-Monitoring Illustrative Resource (SMIR), based on graphic vignettes for assessment (SMIR-A) and intervention (SMIR-I), respectively, in electronic and printed device for four-six year old children. The development of the SMIR is described in three steps in this paper: (1) selection of social skills;(2) description of situations, responses and consequences; (3) production of drawings and organization in items. These steps produced two SMIR formats -one for evaluation and one for promoting self-monitoring. It consists of 12 items. Each item contains: a social daily situation, three answer choices (one of social skills, one active/aggressive and one of passive reactions) and as possible consequences for each alternative. Preliminary analyses of the SMIR-A showed satisfactory internal consistency. Implications this feature are discussed. Evaluation of Self-Monitoring in Pre-Schools with Different Social Repertories
