Constraints onR-parity violating supersymmetry from neutral meson mixing

Abstract: Upper bounds at the weak scale are put on all λ ′ ijk λ ′ imn type products of R-parity violating supersymmetry that may affect K 0 − K 0 and B 0 − B 0 mixing. We constrain all possible products, including some not considered before, using next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the mixing amplitudes. Constraints are obtained for both real and imaginary parts of the couplings. We also discuss briefly some correlated decay channels which should be investigated in future experiments.

“…The possibility of embedding a CP -odd complex phase in the R p coupling constants has been envisaged at an early stage in a work by Barbieri and Masiero [323] and then further discussed in [359,371,112,324,325] (see also [325] 5 . This R p coupling's contribution to the K S − K L mass difference has been calculated in [324] using NLO QCD evolution of Wilson coefficient also included in L ∆S=2 ef f [326] as well as lattice calculations for long-distance hadronic processes which cannot be evaluated pertubatively and also contribute to the above matrix element.…”

“…The crucial difference between studies of RPV SUSY contributions to phenomenology of the up-quark (see [5]) and down-type quark sectors is the possibility of tree-level diagrams contributing to B s -mixing 4 and B s → ℓ + ℓ − decays [22][23][24][25]. If one allows for R-parity violation, the following terms should be added to the superpotential,…”
