Results: They present PE as infrequent and insuffi cient. They denote that the practical-theoretical experience with vaccine contributes to the work; the search for knowledge, starting from the professional itself; and the professional training fails to perform in the vaccination room. Final considerations: The notions of PE are linked to the daily needs of individuals and services, with indication of being interactive, periodic, in specifi c and non-global issues for better assimilation. Obstacles to the non-implementation of PEH are realized by the workload associated with insuffi cient human resources, the distance of the nurses from the vaccination room and the lack of support from the higher levels. RESUMO Objetivo: Compreender, sob a ótica do profi ssional, a Educação Permanente (EP) em sala de vacina em seu contexto real. Método: Estudo de casos múltiplos holístico-qualitativo, fundamentado na Sociologia Compreensiva do Cotidiano com 56 participantes de quatro microrregiões da Região Ampliada Oeste de Minas Gerais. Resultados: Apresentam a EP como pouco frequente e insufi ciente. Denotam que a experiência prático-teórica com vacina contribui com o trabalho, a busca do conhecimento partindo do próprio profi ssional e a formação profi ssional falha para atuação em sala de vacina. Considerações fi nais: As noções de EP vêm atreladas às necessidades cotidianas individuais e dos serviços, com indicação de ser interativa, periódica, em temas pontuais e não globais para melhor assimilação. Os entraves para não realização da EPS se concretizam na sobrecarga de trabalho associada a recursos humanos insufi cientes, o distanciamento do enfermeiro da sala de vacina e a falta de apoio das instâncias superiores. RESUMOObjetivo: buscou-se avaliar a administração de imunobiológicos em salas de vacina de Unidades Básicas de Saúde da Família de um município do Nordeste brasileiro. Método: trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, investigativo, tipo pesquisa-ação. Coletaram-se os dados por meio da observação sistemática em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde da Família. Utilizaram-se roteiros a partir das recomendações do Manual de Normas e Procedimentos para Vacinação da Política Nacional de Imunização. Apresentaram-se os resultados por meio de tabelas. Resultados: constata-se que, em 57,1% das observações, o profissional não verificou a aparência da solução no frasco dos imunobiológicos e, em 14,3% dos casos, não foi verificado o prazo de validade. Salienta-se que em nenhum dos procedimentos foi realizada a higienização das mãos. Conclusão: percebe-se, com base nas recomendações propostas pela Política Nacional de Imunização, que as práticas envolvidas na administração de imunobiológicos se encontram distantes do que é preconizado. Observaram-se falhas envolvendo as técnicas adequadas de preparo, de armazenamento e de conservação dos imunobiológicos. Assessment of Patient Safety in Vaccination Rooms

Objective: identify adherence to patient safety recommendations in the vaccination room. Method: this is a cross-sectional study that analyzed 463 vaccination procedures in six vaccination rooms in Minas Gerais from June to July 2018. Data were obtained with the application of the Patient Safety Checklist for Vaccination Rooms through systematic observation of the vaccination procedure. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. Results: 463 vaccination procedures were observed, and the mean overall adherence score was 58.5%, min. 43.3% and max. 74.1%. The items of higher adherence were related to the records of vaccine data (name, date, and batch) on the vaccination card; vaccine application with dose, route of administration, location and correct materials; and records in an information system. The items of lower adherence were related to health guidance; investigation of adverse events following immunization and the health status of the vaccinated person; records of vaccine laboratory and vaccination center on the vaccination card; vaccine workforce handwashing; and proper vaccine preparation. Conclusion: the mean overall score found in this study was 58.5% for the adherence to recommendations for vaccination procedures. This result highlights the need for educational interventions that promote patient safety in the vaccination room and studies analyzing the factors that prevent such adherence.
