“…The effects of cisplatin treatment on carcinoma cells in conjunction with Raman spectroscopy has also been studied by Huang et al 55 This group treated nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells with cisplatin by using different drug concentrations and obtained spectra at multiple time points within 24 h. The results of the analysis showed that the measured cellular changes were correlated with a decrease in Raman vibrational-band intensities associated with nucleic phosphodiester bonds and DNA bases, indicating a direct degrading effect of the drug on the genome.…”
