Conditions of Hilling Habitat of Chelonia Mydas (Green Turtle) in Pangumbahan Beach Ujung Genteng, Sukabumi Selatan

Abstract: Research on the condition of the nesting habitat of Chelonia mydas (green turtle) in Pangumbahan Beach, Ujung Genteng, South Sukabumi has been carried out. Data retrieval is done 6 times for 2 days, 27-28 November 2017 at 3 observation stations. The abiotic parameters measured include surface temperature and depth of 50 cm, surface humidity and depth of 50 cm, beach width, beach slope, and the size of sand grains. While the biotic parameters measured were density, relative density, the frequency of attendance,… Show more

“…At station 3, morning temperatures are around 29 ˚C and 29.5 C in the afternoon. This finding is in line Hicks and McMohan (2002) and Pertiwi and Lathifah (2018) stated that an organism's optimum growth temperature for specific mollusks generally ranges from 20˚C-30˚C.…”

“…Population structure is important to study to determine the state or condition of a habitat (Ismail et al, 2015;Syarifah & Maulana, 2016;Raihani et al, 2023). It has the same point with animal (Pertiwi & Lathifah, 2019;Ratih et al, 2021;Triacha et al, 2021;Fatonah et al, 2023;Mufida et al, 2023;Putri et al, 2023).…”

“…PSB is suitable as a learning medium in plant ecology courses because PSB is a teaching medium that can be used in the learning process and a means of connecting information with the community. Not only Plant Ecology, it has also the same point with animal (Pertiwi & Lathifah, 2019;Ratih et al, 2021;Triacha et al, 2021;Fatonah et al, 2023;Mufida et al, 2023;Putri et al, 2023). Popular scientific books are very useful for students, especially in increasing insight and knowledge about the material being studied, especially those based on local potential.…”
