Learning activities can not be separated from the involvement of teaching materials, the use of teaching materials is one effort to create meaningful and quality learning. The students' environment and the surrounding area are rich in local potential, especially the diversity of animal and plant species. This potential can be used as an alternative to support the learning process. Plant population structure is the composition of plant populations that exist in a place. The Yellow Bamboo Plant has the potential to be a source of learning, so the results of the population structure study were made in the form of a locally based handout. The aim of this research is to determine the population structure of Yellow Bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris) in the Danau Sari Embun area, Tanah Laut Regency and to determine the suitability of Bambusa vulgaris population structure handout in the Danau Sari Embun area, Tanah Laut Regency as supporting material for Plant Ecology courses . The method used is the research and development method of the 5 phase Plomp model. The research results show that the population structure of Bambusa vulgaris in the Danau Sari Embun area shows that the Bambusa vulgaris population is in critical condition. The handout regarding the population structure of Bambusa vulgaris was declared very valid, while the readability test by students obtained very good criteria. It can be concluded that the Handout regarding the population structure of Bambusa vulgaris is worthy of being used as teaching material.

Species Diversity of Bivalves and Gastropods at the Tanjung Rising Coastal, Bangka Belitung Island

Tanjung Rising Coastal, located in Dendang Village, Bangka Belitung Islands, has a large variety of substrates and organisms. One of the types of marine life studied is the Mollusk Phylum including the Bivalve and Gastropod classes. To find out the diversity of Bivalvia and Gastropoda, this study was carried out on Tanjung Rising Coastal, Bangka Belitung Islands. The study was conducted in December 2020-August 2021, using belt transect method with purposive sampling technique. Samples were collected at station 1 with a sandy substrate and station 2 with a muddy substrate. The results of this study found 1,372 individuals from the Bivalvia class consisting of 7 families and 12 species, while from the Gastropod class yielded 2,630 individuals consisting of 5 families and 7 species. The diversity and evenness index at both stations is relatively low which means that there are species that dominate, because both stations have good habitats for the dominating species. In addition, temperature, pH, salinity, depth, and strong currents showed good values for Bivalvia and Gastropoda habitat. In summary, Tanjung Rising Beach is still a good habitat for invertebrate animals, especially Bivalvia and Gastropoda.

Cibuaya Beach is one of the beaches in Ujung Genteng Village that is used as a tourist destination because the beach is still very clean and natural. Cibuaya Beach has large beach sand grains and is dominated by mollusk shell fragments. The intertidal zone is the zone bounded by the tidal line and is the narrowest of the marine zones. The coastal ecosystem of Cibuaya Beach consists of coral reefs, seagrasses, and coastal vegetation. This study aims to determine the diversity of Bivalves in Cibuaya Beach Ujung Genteng. This research was conducted at Cibuaya Beach Ujung Genteng in March-April 2022. Determination of the research location using the belt transect method by purposive sampling at three stations namely rocky sand (station 1), seagrass (station 2), and coral reef (station 3). The results obtained were 148 individuals with 11 Bivalve species comprising six families. The value of the diversity index (H') ranged from 1.58-1.99 classified as medium. The value of the evenness index (E) ranges from 0.83-0.88 classified as high. The dominance index value (D) ranges from 0.18-0.24 which is low. The measurement results of abiotic parameters, namely temperature, pH, salinity, humidity, current speed, and light intensity show good values for marine bivalve life. Therefore, the Cibuaya Beach intertidal ecosystem is suitable for the life of the Bivalve class.
