There is an intense debate in society regarding the implementation of actions, programs and projects aimed at maintaining environmental and ecosystem services. In this debate, different metrics, dimensions and objectives are presented. Among these environmental and ecosystem services is the creation of stingless bees, which is a way of including small farmers in concrete actions, enabling them to obtain additional income in the production unit. The productive inclusion of this activity includes women, young people and the elderly, increasing food production and directly contributing to the well-being and community development. It is in this perspective that the present research identified farmers, profiles, perceptions and social dynamics related to beekeeping. For this, we used the exploratory methodology and the snowball technique. As a result of the research, we created a map of the location of beekeepers in the Amazon and a profile in which the motivation for the activity is found. We conclude that the creation of stingless bees can be an activity that contributes to the production of food, income generation and maintenance of environmental and ecosystem services.

The labor relationship developed by the Amazonian riverside dwellers is weakened due to changes in temperature, the flood pulse, the ebb tide of the rivers, and precipitation. In this context, this research aimed to evaluate the impacts of climate change on the socio-biodiversity chains in the region of Médio Juruá-Amazonas. Collections were carried out in two communities located in the Sustainable Development Reserve (RDS) Uacari, in July 2022, through participatory workshops. The communities affirm that the extreme flood events of the Juruá River are more intense in recent years, both concerning the extreme levels of the river and in periodicity and speed of flooding. The large floods have impacted the productive calendar, generating losses for farmers. In addition, rubber trees and cassava plantations have been dying with the large floods, and oil seeds are being carried by the water before harvest. The physical data of the Juruá River shows a trend of increasing extreme floods over the last 40 years for the period November to April, highlighting the years 2013 to 2015 and 2021 with the largest positive anomalies. Farmers have adapted their calendars, modified some planting areas to locations with higher altitudes and farther from the river banks, and have sought new rubber matrices. The results point to the need for mitigation and adaptation measures promoted by local governments.

o presente artigo tem o objetivo de analisar o perfil da agricultura familiar praticada na região do Alto Juruá, estado do Amazonas. Essa agricultura pode ser definida como aquela praticada por famílias que são proprietárias dos meios de produção e que também assumem o trabalho na agricultura. Durante a coleta de dados foram utilizados os mecanismos de observação, entrevistas, aplicação de formulários, sondagens e história de vida. Ao todo, foram identificadas e registradas 95 comunidades rurais. O tamanho da amostra da pesquisa foi de 101 famílias. Dentre as atividades produtivas na região, destacam-se a cultura da mandioca, a prática do extrativismo e a pesca, as quais têm garantido a sobrevivência dos agricultores e seus familiares, os quais retiram da terra, da floresta e do rio o sustento e a obtenção de recursos para atender as necessidades básicas. Embora as dificuldades sejam muitas, a persistência e resistência mantêm a (re)produção dos agricultores na região.
