IntroductionMetacognition is the ability to reflect on one’s own cognitive processes, monitor and regulate them to enhance mental performance. Social cognition involves the capacity to perceive and respond to social cues from others. The study of metacognition and social cognition is an expanding research field in psychiatry. Both domains are related to neurocognition, symptoms and psychosocial functioning in schizophrenia. Understanding the relationship between social cognition and metacognition may be pivotal for enhancing the treatment of cognitive symptoms in schizophrenia.MethodsWe conducted a PRISMA systematic review and meta-analysis on quantitative studies comparing metacognition to social cognitive outcomes in adult outpatients with a schizophrenia spectrum disorder. Reports were retrieved from the Medline, ScienceDirect and PsycINFO databases up to July 13th, 2023. Risk of bias was assessed with the Cochrane tool.ResultsOur review included 1,036 participants across 17 reports, with 12 reports included in the meta-analysis. We found a significant positive correlation (r = 0.28, 95% CI: [0.14, 0.41]) between social cognition and metacognition. Subgroup analyses indicated that metacognition was specifically associated with theory of mind, attribution, and emotion processing. Different patterns of correlations were observed according to the assessment of metacognition and its subdimensions.ConclusionDespite discrepancies among the included studies, no publication bias was detected. The results suggest that metacognition and social cognition are distinct but related constructs. Those processes should be assessed and treated together, along with neurocognition, in schizophrenia.

Cette étude présente une expérience d'extraction de terminologie à partir de corpus compilés par des apprenantes universitaires en vue d'explorer les ressources documentaires englobant des textes de spécialité dans les deux langues arabe et française et de montrer l'impact de l'intégration des outils d'extraction automatique dans le cursus universitaire d'après une expérience dans le cadre d'un module portant sur les rapports ente informatique et terminologie. Nous décrivons les résultats d'extraction de la terminologie et la méthode de représentation des données lexicales. Les difficultés liées à la sélection des candidats-termes, la modélisation de la structure actancielle de certains termes, le choix des termes associés et des collocations sont parmi les points abordés ainsi que quelques solutions envisagées pour modéliser les résultats obtenus.Mots-clés : extraction terminologique -autonomie de l'apprenant -pédagogie par projets -terminotique

Une déficience d’utilisation stratégique est définie comme la production spontanée d’une stratégie cognitive adaptée mais moins efficace que prévu. Nous montrons que de jeunes enfants font état de déficiences d’utilisation dans des tâches de jugement comparatif avec stratégie d’appariement systématique. Un premier type de déficience d’utilisation a été observé dans des situations où il s’agit de comparer des séries différentes de jouets. Un second type de déficience d’utilisation a été relevé de manière spécifique dans une tâche de transfert, Ainsi, lorsque les enfants ont été rencontrés à 4 ans, leur score stratégique se maintenait à un niveau équivalent de la tâche principale à la tâche de transfert, mais le score de jugement comparatif diminuait significativement entre ces deux tâches. Cette déficience d’utilisation due au transfert avait disparu quand les enfants ont été revus à 4 ans et demi puis à 5 ans. Plusieurs causes possibles des déficiences d’utilisation sont envisagées en discussion, parmi lesquelles l’existence d’une surcharge cognitive propre à la situation de transfert. En accord avec l’explication classique des déficiences d’utilisation survenant pour cause de surcharge cognitive, la surcharge propre à la situation de transfert empêcherait les enfants de tirer pleinement parti de la stratégie transférée.
