AbstractThis study aimed to evaluate the influence of meteorological parameters on morphological and productive characteristics of corn in different sowing dates. The experimental design was a randomized complete block in a factorial 2x6, with two corn hybrids (Dekalb 240 and Dow AgroSciences 2A106), and six sowing dates (09/15/2013, 30/09, 15/10, 30/10, 16/11 e 03/12, 2013), with three replications. We evaluated the plant height, ear diameter, ear length, number of row per ear, number of kernels per row, diameter of the cob, thousand grain weight and productivity. It performed the analysis of variance and the Tukey test for the factors sowing dates and hybrids. Was held still the Pearson correlation and the stepwise variable selection procedure of regression modeling. Morphological and productive characteristics of corn hybrids are influenced by meteorological elements in different sowing dates. Overall, both the hybrid D240 as 2A106 show better results versus the variables in spreading performed in 15/09 and 30/09. Late sowing (16/11 and 03/12) adversely affect the performance of the productive and morphological characters of hybrids. Among the weather elements studied, the minimum temperature has the highest contribution to the productivity values.
