Complex high accuracy satellite and field measurements of horizontal and vertical displacements of control geodetic network on Dniester hydroelectric pumped power station (HPPS).

Abstract: Construction of large hydropower complex is accompanied by a signifi cant technological impact on the environment. Large volumes of soil are redistributed, groundwater regime varies, there is the risk of deformation of the earth surface. One of the main methods of monitoring this dangerous phenomenon is the application of GNSS technology. The implementation of this method without a loss of coordinate accuracy depends on the conditions of horizon openness on the point of observations and the absence of objects … Show more

“…The analysis of the results of the observations indicated the possible presence of cyclic seasonal displacements of the crest of the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station dam. Studying these movements and accumulating relevant data requires constant monitoring of various physical indicators and different geodetic measurements (Tretyak et al, 2015). At the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station, in 2015, Leica Geosystems installed a stationary system for monitoring the spatial displacements of buildings, which led to a significant increase in efficiency and automation of data acquisition.…”

“…Thenceforth, various physical indicators are constantly monitored, and different geodetic measurements are carried out to control the condition of the hydraulic structure. [Tretyak, et al, 2015]. Since 2015, the Dnipro HPP has been operating a stationary system for monitoring the spatial displacement of buildings.…”

“…The order 2/3 of h m gives the best results of balancing; it can be explained by the systematic effect of the vertical refraction in the observation triangles (Tretyak, 2015).…”
