“…album has been the subject of numerous studies exploring its antitumour effects in various forms of extract. Aqueous extracts of V. album have been shown to have cytotoxic effects on a variety of cell lines, including lymphoma and squamous carcinoma of the tongue [27,28]. Furthermore, the alcoholic extract from V. album showed antiproliferative effects in HeLa cells, without showing cytotoxic effects in healthy fibroblasts [29].…”

“…Gastrointestinal lymphoma is the most common lymphatic neoplasm in cats, and the reported incidence is higher than in any other species [127]. Only a small number of case reports on VAE treatment in human lymphoma patients is available, reporting tumor reduction and even complete remission with VAE treatment [128][129][130][131].…”

“…Unfortunately, about 50% of such patients will relapse, and the 3-year overall survival rate after recurrence is about 30% [3]. Recurrent patients have serious side effects due to the use of high-dose chemotherapy drugs, and recurrent lymphoma is insensitive to follow-up treatment using the initial chemotherapy regimen and displays cross-resistance for a variety of anticancer drugs [4]. Therefore, identifying novel anticancer drugs with high efficiency and low toxicity in the treatment of NHL is a vital topic in research.…”
