“…The initial dataset of articles was extracted from Scopus (12 March 2021) using the pertinent keywords telework 'OR' teleworking 'OR' telecommute 'OR' telecommuting. Scopus was used because it is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive and complete journal databases available [104,105] and provides user-friendly analytical tools that are helpful to visualise voluminous extant literature [106]. “…The scientometric approach gives a visual perspective of the structural and dynamic aspects of existing scientific researches, and also help in the identification of authors, countries, funding bodies, journals and types of collaborations that exist within a particular area of research (Blažun et al, 2015;Cobo et al, 2011). Based on its ability to give clear view of past happenings within a subject area, the scientometric review has continued to gain recognition in built-environment studies (Aghimien et al, 2019a;Darko et al, 2020;Nazir et al, 2020;Yin et al, 2019). The literature search was done using Scopus database on the premise that the database covers a considerably large number of published articles than its counterparts (Chadegani et al, 2013;Guz and Rushchitsky, 2009).…”

“…An example of building large-scale entrylevel houses is the use of the next-generation modular construction method [29,30], which involves stacking prefabricated standard spatial blocks (similar to Lego blocks). In addition to constructing buildings in a shorter period, it is also inexpensive [31]. Furthermore, smart homes and buildings which are the type of smart city services help to improve the quality of residential and work environments [32].…”
