Comparison of complement consumption and platelet accumulation between membrane oxygenators coated with a polymer or heparin

Abstract: Introduction The membrane oxygenator in extracorporeal circulation circuits is coated with acrylate-copolymer (ACP) or immobilized heparin (IHP) to enhance hemocompatibility.
