Comparison of Cash Crop Suitability Assessment Using Parametric, AHP, and FAHP Methods

For the past four decades, the methodology of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process based on fuzzy trapezoidal or triangular numbers with the linear type of membership functions has witnessed an expanding development with applicability to a wide variety of areas, such as industry, environment, education, government, economics, engineering, health, and smart city leadership. On the other hand, the interval gray analytic hierarchy process is a more practical method when a significant number of professionals have large variations in preferences and interests in complex decisions. The paper examines the management of architectural heritage in smart cities, using methods of multi-criteria decision making. Two appropriate methods generally recommended by the scientific literature have been applied: fuzzy and interval grey analytic hierarchy process. By using both techniques, there is an opportunity to analyze the consensual results from the aspect of two different stakeholder groups: architectural heritage experts and smart city development experts. Trapezoidal fuzzy analytical hierarchical process shows better stability than a triangular one. Both approaches assign priority to the strategy, but the interval approach gives a more significant rank to architectural heritage factors. The similarity of the proposed methods has been tested, and the similarity factor in the ranking indicates a high degree of similarity in comparing the reference rankings.

This paper has conducted the study of the impact and effectiveness of Google Classroom in online teaching and learning. Based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2), the first aim was to rank the 8 constructs namely: Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Habit, Behavioral Intention, and the last Use Behavior. Each of the constructs have their respective questions due to the questionnaire formed from the UTAUT2 theory. To evaluate the use of Google Classroom, have been analyzed the feedbacks from every participant based on a 5-likert scale output. Secondly, was completed the rank of the questions based on the most preferred 5-likert scale options. The method proposed for the purposes of this study were fuzzy AHP with triangular fuzzy numbers (TFN) and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TpFN). The results suggested that the most preferred construct by fuzzy with TFN numbers was the Behavioral Intention while the least preferred was the Effort Expectancy, whereas for fuzzy TpFN the most preferred construct was the Social Influence and the least preferred was the Effort Expectancy. Based on the questionnaire, the rank resulted to be the same with both methods for the most preferred question and the least important one, that were respectively from Use Behavior construct, and from Performance Expectancy construct, while the ranked questions of other constructs differed slightly with both methods. These results showed that both methods produced the same rank for the 5likert scale options, where "Agree" option was the more important from the 5-likert scale options and "Strongly disagree" option was less important. From these findings was concluded that these changes in ranking were due to the different defuzzification methods that were used for both types of fuzzy numbers.

In agriculture, land use and land classification address questions such as “where”, “why” and “when” a particular crop is grown within a particular agroecology. To date, there are several land suitability analysis (LSA) methods, but there is no consensus on the best method for crop suitability analysis. We conducted a scoping review to evaluate methodological strategies for LSA. Secondary to this, we assessed which of these would be suitable for neglected and underutilised crop species (NUS). The review classified LSA methods reported in articles as traditional (26.6%) and modern (63.4%). Modern approaches, including multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods such as analytical hierarchy process (AHP) (14.9%) and fuzzy methods (12.9%); crop simulation models (9.9%) and machine learning related methods (25.7%) are gaining popularity over traditional methods. The MCDM methods, namely AHP and fuzzy, are commonly applied to LSA while crop models and machine learning related methods are gaining popularity. A total of 67 parameters from climatic, hydrology, soil, socio-economic and landscape properties are essential in LSA. Unavailability and the inclusion of categorical datasets from social sources is a challenge. Using big data and Internet of Things (IoT) improves the accuracy and reliability of LSA methods. The review expects to provide researchers and decision-makers with the most robust methods and standard parameters required in developing LSA for NUS. Qualitative and quantitative approaches must be integrated into unique hybrid land evaluation systems to improve LSA.
