“…The amorphous C signals arise mostly from the defective edges of Ti 3 C 2 T x flakes, and thus, the increased contribution of amorphous C indicates a larger edge-to-interior ratio. 40,41 Since Ti 3 C 2 T x stacks composed of smaller lateral sizes would provide a larger number of shorter passages for water to penetrate through 39 , the Q value was expected to be the highest for the MTEPG based on Ti 3 C 2 T x sonicated for 60 min. Also, it is easier for smaller MXene flakes to infiltrate the cotton fibre membrane, as shown in our previous study 34 .…”

“…At present, researches on the properties of EMW absorbers mainly focus on four aspects, including low filling ratio, low matching thickness, wide effective frequency band, and strong reflection loss [ 3 ]. From traditional materials such as graphene [ 4 ], carbon nanotubes [ 5 ], and ferrites [ 6 ] to new generation materials such as MOFs [ 7 ], aerogel [ 8 ], and MXene [ 9 ], all have been successfully fabricated and exhibit gratifying EMW absorption performance.…”

“…Therefore, there is a weak vibration band at 650-880 cm −1 , due to the typical vibrations of Ti-O and Ti-OH. 30 For WS 2 , all characteristic energy bands are observed in the FT-IR spectrum of the Ti 3 C 2 T x /WS 2 composite. It is worth noting that the characteristic peaks of Ti 3 C 2 T x in the composite have no visible changes in terms of location and vibration intensity, implying that the structure of Ti 3 C 2 T x is not significantly affected in the hydrothermal reaction.…”
