Comparative estimates of innovation potential of the regions of the Russian federation

Abstract: This paper examines briefly methods estimating the innovation potential of the RF regions and presents the results of their comparison. The significance of the research of innovation potential is based, on one hand, on the ever increasing role of innovation and education assets of the Russian territories and, on the other, on essential shifts that have occurred in knowledge differentiation due to changes in technologies and in their use.
