“…Regenerative therapies, such as enamel matrix derivative product application, guided tissue regeneration, bone grafting or biomolecular techniques, are also used [57,63,64]. For this purpose, many different materials are used, including demineralized freeze-dried bone allografts (DFDBA), autogenic bone, alloplastic materials or xenogenic materials, such as anorganic bovine bone mineral (ABBM), which is a material that is produced by removing organic components from cortical or spongy bovine bone [54,57,60].…”

“…In the present study, the radiographic parameters were assessed through CBCT, as it allows three-dimensional assessment and volumetric analysis which may depict a better representation of an intrabony defect than linear measurements, and could be an effective alternative for the surgical re-entry [ Figure 3b - d and 4b - d ]. [ 20 21 22 23 ] A significant gain in the bone volume ( P ≤ 0.05) and a highly significant defect fill ( P ≤ 0.001), defect resolution ( P ≤ 0.001) was observed in group A as compared to group B at 6 months post operatively. Our radiographic results are in agreement with the studies done by Elegandy et al,[ 18 ] Kasaj et al[ 12 ] and Pradeep et al[ 20 ]…”

“…Four RCTs evaluated the benefit of combining a xenograft with L‐PRF 146–149 . They all reported significantly more gain in the attachment (0.9–1.2 mm) and intra‐bony defect depth reduction (11%) when L‐PRF was mixed with the xenograft.…”
