“…Having in view the restrictions on, and the new regulations of international travel, the same scholars argue that local communities also play a vital role in this regard and that their framework would both enlarge the tourism base and entail new opportunities and advantages for the less-developed tourism areas, small-scale players being thus enabled to win on the pandemic battlefield, to safeguard the social well-being and to support sustainable tourism. In a similar approach, the analysis of tourism indicators in the Romanian coastal area, which was severely affected by the effects of the pandemic, is of interest if it is correlated with investment indicators in the construction field, which show an increase in the interest to expand tourist accommodation (Munteanu, 2021).
