Compact E5a/E1 antenna array for GNSS applications

Abstract: This work shows the design and manufacturing of a compact antenna array for use as controlled radiation pattern array (CRPA) in satellite navigation applications. The array has dual band capability for the Galileo Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) at E5a and E1 bands. The overall size of the array is only 10 cm x 10 cm and this enables it to be used in applications where compactness is a key factor.
