Family Intervention in the Initial Adaptation of Adoptive Families: Systematic Review

Considering the importance of mapping family interventions practices aimed specifically to adoption, this study sought to identify through a systematic review, how family intervention models for adoptive families are structured in initial adaptation with children from 0 to 6 years old. Four databases were consulted, which led to 9.143 results: Google Scholar (n=8.056), Science Direct (n=814), SciELO (n=43) and PsycINFO (n=230). Seven articles considered pertinent to the proposal of this study were included. As a result, it was identified that most part of the interventions were not systematically described. Although promising results were indicated, replication would not be viable due to the lack of detailing of the performed practices. There was no hegemony in the choice of intervention models. Also, it was indicated that the specificity for adoption in the interventions analyzed is not clear.

Este artigo trata-se de uma revisão sistemática, com objetivo de analisar as produções científicas, tendo como filtro artigos acadêmicos sobre as intersecções de pobreza e raça, com as indexações nas bases Doaj Directory of Open Access Journals, Latindex, SciELO Brasil e Medline entre os anos de 2015 a 2021. Tendo como descritores “Pobreza”, “Pobre”, “Baixa renda”, “Preto”, “Negro” e “Raça”, foram identificados potenciais 695 artigos, sendo analisadas 14 produções. Com base na análise dos dados, foi possível estabelecer duas categorias, a primeira aponta os marcadores sociais como sub-representação do outro, ou como elemento de adição, já a segunda apresenta uma perspectiva interseccional, ou seja, a confluência entre os marcadores de pobreza e raça. Nos resultados notou-se que há concepções distintas de raça e pobreza a partir da construção dos escritos, em que raça em algumas produções é concebida apenas como um dado sociodemográfico e não como uma questão social e teórica que deve ser problematizada. O mesmo se aplicou a categoria de pobreza, pois embora os autores a apresentem como uma categoria unidimensional, havia aspirações multidimensionais, ou seja, a renda não era o único parâmetro de análise. Assim, atesta-se a necessidade de maiores produções que tenham uma compreensão e análise das desigualdades e opressões sociais pelo viés da interseccionalidade.

Children’s Subjective Well-Being, Peer Relationships and Resilience: An Integrative Literature Review

This study presents an integrative review of the scientific literature on children's subjective well-being (SWB) and its association with peer relationships and resilience. Articles addressing children's SWB published in English and Portuguese from 2014 to 2020 were investigated. The data bases were PubMed, PsycINFO, SciELO, Scopus. 14 studies were selected after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Most of the articles were published in English, were empirical studies, with quantitative design, and samples of children in the school context. There was an association between children's SWB and peer relationships, with contribution of personal (e.g. sex) and contextual (e.g. school environment) variables to the relationship between these constructs. Individual (e.g. self-esteem) and contextual (e.g. positive parenting) aspects of resilience were found as variables that are related to children's SWB. The review highlights the potential of positive peer relationships in childhood as a predictor of both SWB and resilience.
